KIIS 1065 is an Australian radio station based in Sydney owned by the Australian Radio Network.
It has a market share of 9.5% and average weekly listeners of 951,000 people. Licensed by ACMA, it is one of the most listened to Australian radio stations. KIIS has a very Capital vibe to it and similar to Capital has a similar target audience of around the 15-30 mark.

The online branding and digitalisation of this station is really important. I see videos especially on Facebook of this station all the time, especially Kyle and Jackie O. The videos are always really gripping to watch whether the concept is something funny like a prank video on one of the presenters by the other or organising an emotional surprise to a really deserving listener. This really fun and giving vibe is evident across the station at all times. The two presenters always have a really fun and jam packed show and they have a really energetic quirky style of presenting that really wakes you up in the morning. The two presenters really bounce off each other and the banter and chemistry between the pair is really evident. The way they present and the music played such as chart music and classic pop is perfect for their younger target audience.

(Benoit & O' Donnell 2000) state that "In many of the more frantic stations, the program elements come fast and furious - a jingle here, a joke there, and then a spot or commercial cluster. Maintaining a pace means checking yourself to ensure that your on-air segments are not too long (or too short, depending on the station). The delivery, too, will vary according to the pace of the programming at your particular station." I think the pacing of the show is perfect and the producers and presenters take all of that in mind. The station features the listeners a lot and their feature I really like is called "Beat the Bomb"  hosted on breakfast by Kyle and Jackie O and its a simple format that will get so many viewers listening and wanting to try and win the big money jackpot. All they have to do is say stop before the bomb explodes and they could win $200,000. It is a very simple format and as a listener it is really intense and you get nervous for the listener to see if they are going to walk away with any money or not.

Another feature I also like from Kyle and Jackie O are the pranks they pull on each other and my favourite one that became a hit on YouTube was a prank Kyle and Little Mix pulled on Jackie O making it seem she had upset Jade with a touchy relationship subject making her walk out; it was so funny to both listen to and watch visually but also so awkward at the same time. It was executed really well and didn't look staged at all so it made me think she actually had no idea. The links feature some crunch and rolls but a lot of the links are quite lengthy but not in a bad way that appear too long: they are always really informative or funny whatever I have heard.

From a programming point of view, the station seems to not focus on a particular style of music and other than Kyle and Jackie O who very much seem the face, voices and personality of the station everyone elses shows seem very much forgot about and don't have particular features to them. I think if everyone had more focus as the breakfast show did it would help lift the station more in terms of content and online presence. The online presence is really good however. The website is well-informed and I see Facebook videos from this station shared on my Facebook timeline all the time and they are always really emotional or funny. The station has got a really strong brand identity and is reaching its target demographic really well and you can see why the station is so popular over in Australia.
